Meghan Roman is the founder and principal of Stonerose Advisors and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Georgetown University. With roots from Silicon Valley, Meghan has designed and implemented PR campaigns for more than 30 start-ups, global corporations, and venture capital firms. She has helped clients build their digital brand and earn press exposure in Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, TechCrunch, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. A PR agency veteran, Meghan is skilled at introducing and building credibility for novel technologies and investment strategies that help business and society function better.

At Stonerose, Meghan has been part of PR consulting teams for New Atlantic Ventures, Venrock, NEA and Menlo Ventures and has directly advised more than a dozen venture-backed startups. Previously, Meghan spent four years as a communications director at Horn Group (acquired by Finn Partners in 2015). She was recruited to serve on the west-coast senior leadership team, providing counsel to the firm on operational matters, business and employee development. There, she created customized programs to help Silicon Valley-based venture-backed start ups raise and promote venture capital funding, manage merger and acquisition activity and litigation issues and introduce unprecedented technologies. Previously, Meghan directed integrated marketing communications programs for HP, Adobe and Visa International at Burson-Marsteller. Earlier in her career she was with Applied Communications (acquired by UK-based Next15), where she represented PayPal, HP’s Linux division and Oracle’s applications business during their inception.

Meghan holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a BSBA in Marketing and International Business, with a minor in Spanish, from Georgetown University. She has studied at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina and University of Valencia in Spain but calls Washington DC home.
